Total Field Hockey proudly presents…the only Elite Summer Training Camp in all of Canada!
The Elite Training camp includes access to the techniques of the best players in the World. You will get an opportunity to see how the top players learn their skills and use them in games.
What is the objective of the Summer Elite Training Camp?
A Camp dedicated to the development of individual female field hockey players skills as well as team tactics. The focus will be on developing and utilizing individual skills in game situations. Athletes can either be a Day Camper (come each day and depart each night) or a Residence Camper (board at the University of British Columbia Campus). Athletes will enjoy 3.5 hours of on field coaching with expert master coach Shiaz Virjee.
A key component will be to provide ongoing feedback to every athlete throughout the Camp. Feedback will be provided by the coaches during the practical sessions as well we will video tape the training sessions. Coaches will use the video to provide specific technical feedback to the athletes.

WHO IS RUNNING THE CAMP
Shiaz Virjee will be running the Summer Elite Training Camp sessions along with hand picking a selection of the best assistant coaches.
THE MASTER COACH
Total Field Hockey has partnered up with Shiaz Virjee to offer our athletes the best coach available in Canada as they train to become the best athletes they can be.
Shiaz Virjee is a top coach, with excellent credentials and results. Shiaz has coached athletes and teams to success in both domestic and international competition. Shiaz has a tremendous passion for field hockey with an emphasis on high performance. His athletes acquire excellent skills and develop into a cohesive, competitive unit ready to achieve success. Shiaz has a systematic approach to develop skills and create an environment that nurtures athletes. He is also very results oriented with a motto of "no excuses – get the results". His uncompromising methods helped Canada to secure best ever results internationally. He has excellent knowledge of the game and is able to analyze the game tactics and set plays for the advantage of his team.

How many spaces are available?
We have space available for up to 32 U19 girls (including a maximum of 4 goalies) and 32 U16 girls (including a maximum of 4 goalies).
We require a minimum of 22 athletes to run each the U19 and U16 girls Summer Elite Training Camp.
When do the Residence Campers stay?
From Sunday night to Thursday the Residence Campers will be staying at Place Vanier at the University of British Columbia in private dorm rooms. Camp councilors will be supervising and staying alongside the Residence Campers at Place Vanier.
Day Camper Cost: $445 (GST Included)
Residence Camper Cost: $695* (GST Included)
*Arrival at UBC Residences on Sunday night. The price includes accommodation from Sunday-Wednesday night, and all meals and transportation starting at breakfast on Monday and ending at lunch on the Thursday.
